Our First Apartment

When Blaine and I were searching for an apartment we were looking for something close to campus, CHEAP, and furnished. When we stumbled across the listing for this one, we were intrigued by the low low price and had to come check it out. It turns out that this apartment and entire complex is mens housing during the fall and winter and they only rent to a few couples during the summer. The apartment was listed as a one bedroom two bath apartment. However, the apartment we were shown had 3 bedrooms much to our surprise! When we asked where the one bedroom apartment was that we had asked to see, the office manager replied, "Oh, if you want one bedroom, you just close the other two doors and don't use them." So here we are in our three bedroom apartment pretending that it only has 2 bedrooms. It is the perfect amount of space for us and I cannot imagine how 6 boys live here in the fall! I also have to mention the furnishings. When we moved in, our room was filled with bunkbeds that we had to disemble. We each have a dresser and desk that have probably been here as long as BYU but the worst part are the couches and chairs. Which one is uglier? You decide. Our new mattress arrived the day we were moving in to replace the bunk beds and we love it! We are also proud new owners of a $15 DI end table. Last of all, Blaine's favorite wedding present and addition to our apartment is our flatscreen HD-TV and blu-ray DVD player which Blaine set up as a first priority immediately after moving in. We love our little summer apartment and will be sad to turn it over to six messy boys in the fall!
